Brains & Brawn is a classic-style modular RPG system in Basic and Advanced versions. While most of the modules are short and contain rules expansions, some are long and contain Campaign Settings. B&B grew out of the highly enjoyable experience of teaching kids how to do old fashioned dice, pen&paper type role-play games. It is a D6 system (six sided dice).
The Core Rules (including Basic and Advanced) is a stand-alone, essential component, expanded on by the other modules. Expansion modules make it possible to customize your collection over time although a blister-pack option is also available. Campaign Setting modules include the relevant Expansion modules necessary for the specific Campaign world. B&B is adaptable depending on what sort of Campaign World the adventures take place in. As the game developed from stupidly simple, so too did the awareness of its potential to break some new ground in a structured and yet simple way. The expansion modules each explore a different possibility which role-playing games allow for, much of which is sadly lacking in most other commercially available rpg's. The heirloom structure of generational progress over time, of the impact characters have on the development of the worlds they live in, and of the sheer alien strangeness of worlds where magick is as much if not more commonplace than primitive technology. This is what makes Brains&Brawn different from other similar products. |

They are designed to work both as stand-alone extensions of the core rules, and collectively. Many of them will be released together as fat-packs. CAMPAIGN SETTINGS
Seven Towers Campaign Setting - BB/ST Nine Tribes Campaign Setting - BB/NT Ancient Giant Gods Campaign Setting - BB/AGG City of Shades Campaign Setting - BB/CoS Sentenced to Death Campaign Setting - BB/StD CAMPAIGN SETTINGS DESCRIPTIONS Seven Towers and Nine Tribes are unrelated Campaign Settings which both contain introductory adventures exploring different environments and factions of two small continents. They are both ideal for learning the rules system at Basic and Advanced levels. Enjoyment of Seven Towers is greatly enhanced with the Martial Lore module (BB/MM). It features different martial arts schools working together and competing against one another to bring peace to the land or to subdue and control it. The actions and alliances made by the Player Characters determines which. Nine Tribes Campaign Setting features remnants of a fallen empire several generations after a terrible plague has swept through the lands and reduced everything to a basic localised hunter-gathering level of culture. Those alive who can remember "the old days and the old ways" are aged and rare. Each tribe occupies and has adapted to a different ecological region providing specific materials. Ancient Giant Gods Campaign Setting involves diverse established factions spread across two continents. Pirates, Navy, Woodsmen, Plainsmen, magickally mutated desert Urgs, a Slave Empire and of course the mysterious and mystical remnants of the overthrown Ancient Giant Gods, now extinct. The Players are involved in progressive unification and bringing an era of peace and freedom. City of Shades Campaign Setting is involving due to its nature as a fully immersive, realistic yet alternative techno-magickal civilization: the culture of the Empire of Enlightenment and its shadow government, the Arcane-Assassins. Unlike the swords and sorcery fantasy based focus of most of Brain&Brawn worlds, Sentenced to Death Campaign Setting is a post-modern cyberpunk game set in a version of our world after a foreign invading army has seized control of your nation and imposed their laws and customs. It begins in the interim after your incarceration prior to rehabilitation under the new regime. The concept is that characters must escape and become involved with the underground resistance movement. Its maps are your home town plus new constructs and overseers. |
TUNNELS,
TRAPS & TREASURE This is a 3D miniatures based tabletop card game. Dice and character models are not included - the RPG industry provides many options. Our TTT pack contents are various types of cards. Item CARDS standard playing cards containing information about Traps, Treasures, Scrolls, Monsters, Character Types. These are discovered during play and held by the Players or discarded. MAPS of thicker card are the floor-plans for the dungeons, castles, catacombs, generically referred to as Tunnels. Paper CHARACTER SHEETS which you write on (pencils and erasers not included). This information changes during the game and represents an individual Character rather than a Character Type. Additionally to this is the RULE BOOK which contains everything you need to know to enjoy this game. It has charts which dice can be rolled against if using so many item cards is too bulky.
